My kids have been dancing at RAD for 13 years. While at RAD, they have not only learned to be amazing dancers, but more importantly, they have gained confidence and leadership skills that has made them better people. The teachers are excellent and supportive. It is evident that the directors are passionate about what they do. I can't imagine dancing anywhere else. There's no place like RAD!

My daughter has been at RAD for two years now (she's 5) and it has been the best experience since the very beginning. The level of talent at this studio is undeniable which makes us glad we chose it for our daughter. You can just feel the love the owners have put into this space.

FAQ
-
RAD and Mountainview Montessori share a unique alignment in values. Both believe children learn best when they are encouraged to explore, create, and grow as whole individuals. At Mountainview, RAD blends imaginative movement, structured technique, and child-choice — supporting each child’s development physically, cognitively, socially, and artistically.
Our approach connects directly with Montessori principles of independence, discovery, and joy, while also mapping to the National Core Arts Standards. Students get to improvise, rehearse, perform, reflect, and connect dance to music, stories, and everyday life. Families can expect joyful classes that teach not only dance skills but also RAD values of respect, leadership, and emotional growth through teamwork, routines, and positive feedback.
-
Our after-school dance program is open to kids ages 2–6 years old. Whether your little one is just starting out or already loves to move, we make sure each age group feels right at home and supported.
-
Students only need comfortable clothes they can move in, closed-toe shoes (sneakers or dance shoes), and a water bottle. Everything else is provided! RAD has been serving families in this community for 35 years, so we’ve designed classes to be simple and stress-free — just show up, and we’ll handle the rest.
-
We are still deciding on this. With enough family interest, there will likely be friendly in-school performances
-
Families receive a monthly newsletter with class highlights, upcoming themes, and ways to support your child at home. We also share tips for building confidence and creativity outside of class.
-
For over 35 years, RAD Dance Studio has combined high-quality dance training with whole-child development — and our Mountainview after-school program is a one-of-a-kind extension of that mission. Unlike traditional classes, we weave RAD Values with Montessori values of independence, discovery, and joy, so children don’t just learn steps — they grow in confidence, creativity, and compassion. Families can expect an after-school experience that is joyful, purposeful, and truly transformative both on and off the dance floor.
-
Our combo approach gives children the chance to explore multiple dance styles in one program. At this age, exposure builds well-rounded movers, creativity, and confidence. Families often find that their child discovers a new passion they wouldn’t have tried otherwise. Plus, it keeps class exciting and fun, while laying a strong foundation if they later choose to specialize.
-
That’s the beauty of RAD’s program — every class includes choice, creativity, and variety. If one style isn’t their favorite, they’ll still find joy in other parts of class. Our goal is to build confidence and a love for movement, not force one style. Over time, children often surprise themselves by growing to enjoy styles they never expected!
-
Yes! We know it’s important for your child to feel comfortable. RAD offers trial classes. Most children fall in love quickly, because RAD classes are designed to feel welcoming, encouraging, and fun from the very first day.
