RAD Dance Studio, proudly locally owned and family-run for 34 years, has been a cornerstone of the Agoura Hills community, inspiring creativity, inclusivity, and connection through the art of dance. Our vision is to foster a positive, supportive environment where students of all ages can grow both as dancers and individuals. Rooted in strong family values, our mission is to empower youth, promote self-expression, and build lasting community connections while making dance accessible and fun for everyone. The Bank of America Performing Arts Center at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza is one of the largest performing arts centers between Los Angeles and San Francisco. The Bank of America Performing Arts Center consists of the 1,800-seat Fred Kavli Theatre for the Performing Arts and the 394-seat Janet and Ray Scherr Forum Theatre, which combine outstanding arts and entertainment with state-of-the-art technology and acoustics. Have you ever wondered, as a parent, why your children should be involved in presentations, programs, and shows? There is much more to the experience than meet the eye. It is more than providing a showcase for parents and family to see and applaud their dancer’s talents! It provides an important incentive and reward for the dancer who is taking lessons in a performing art. Yet, the question remains unanswered, Is that all there is?

For young dancers there are many lessons to be learned from participation in a formal program. They experience the satisfaction derived from performing for an audience. They ascend a stage with a certain amount of trepidation but leave it with a sense of accomplishment and confidence. They discover that facing the public need not be a frightening experience if they are given the proper preparation for the event. In working with a class, there is a feeling of safety along with the learning experience of teamwork.
