After-School Dance Program
Welcome, Mountainview families!
We’re delighted to bring RAD Dance Studio to your campus. RAD is a warm, safe, and inspiring place where children grow as dancers and people. For over three decades RAD has helped kids build confidence, teamwork, and creative voice through joyful, standards-aware dance education. We’re thrilled to partner with Mountainview to offer a nurturing after-school program designed especially for your students.

ENRICH YOUR CHILD’S WORLD
with our most popular
COMBO CLASS
for children ages 3-7
Children benefit most when they experience a variety of movement styles. Our Combo Class curriculum is designed to give them a well-rounded foundation in technique.
Ballet principles teach posture and core strength, jazz or contemporary moves teach creativity and expression, and rhythm based dance like hip hop or tap teach for musicality and energy.
This balanced approach develops the whole child – physically, socially, and artistically which helps them discover what inspires them most.
Expand your child’s horizons!
My kids have been dancing at RAD for 13 years. While at RAD, they have not only learned to be amazing dancers, but more importantly, they have gained confidence and leadership skills that has made them better people. The teachers are excellent and supportive. It is evident that the directors are passionate about what they do. I can't imagine dancing anywhere else. There's no place like RAD!

My daughter has been at RAD for two years now (she's 5) and it has been the best experience since the very beginning. The level of talent at this studio is undeniable which makes us glad we chose it for our daughter. You can just feel the love the owners have put into this space.

HOW OUR CLASS WORKS
Age Appropriate • Whole Child Approach • Value’s Led
Our classes are age-based, ensuring every child receives instruction that’s developmentally appropriate and grounded in RAD’s 35+ years of teaching experience. Each level builds on a strong foundation in movement, creativity, and confidence — all through a curriculum designed specifically for youth.
Toddlers Ages 3-5
Young dancers explore the joy of movement through basic technique and creative play. Each class blends foundational steps, simple choreography, and fun improvisation to help children build:
Body awareness and coordination
Expressive confidence in moving their own way
Social skills like teamwork, sharing, and turn-taking
Primary Ages 6-8
At this stage, students dive deeper into technique, musicality, and performance skills. Classes mix age-appropriate dance combinations, artistic games, and small-group choreography so dancers develop:

We are still deciding on this. With enough family interest, there will likely be a friendly in-school performance at the end of the season.

RAD blends imaginative movement, structured technique, and child-choice so every student learns with their whole self — physically, cognitively, socially, and artistically. Our lessons map directly to the National Core Arts Standards (Creating, Performing, Responding, Connecting) in developmentally appropriate ways: improvise, rehearse, perform, reflect, and connect dance to music, stories, and everyday life. Families can expect joyful classes that also teach respect, leadership, and emotional skills through routines, teamwork, and positive feedback. (That’s RAD DNA.)

At RAD, we believe children benefit most when they experience a variety of movement styles. Our curriculum is designed to give them a well-rounded foundation in technique (like ballet for posture and strength), expression (like jazz or contemporary for creativity), and rhythm (like hip hop or tap for musicality and energy). This balanced approach develops the whole child — physically, socially, and artistically — and helps them discover what inspires them most.

That’s the beauty of RAD’s program — every class includes choice, creativity, and variety. If one style isn’t their favorite, they’ll still find joy in other parts of class. Our goal is to build confidence and a love for movement, not force one style. Over time, children often surprise themselves by growing to enjoy styles they never expected!
-
Yes! We know it’s important for your child to feel comfortable. RAD offers trial classes so your dancer can experience our safe, joyful environment before enrolling. Most children fall in love quickly, because RAD classes are designed to feel welcoming, encouraging, and fun from the very first day.
